Berkeley-AMENA’s Youth Development Program empowers K-12 students with 21st-century skills

Learning by Doing

In an environment in which talent has become the primary competitive factor, the key to building and sustaining innovation economies is the improvement and development of the creative, cognitive, critical thinking, problem solving, collaborative, as well as the intra- and entrepreneurial skills of the AMENA region’s current and future workforce.

The Berkeley-AMENA Youth Development Program’s goal is to empower K-12 students with 21st-century skills. The program includes a set of extracurricular workshops and internships covering a range of soft and technical skills in a learning by doing environment that develops motivation and creativity and instills a growth mindset.

Workshops and internship cover the following topics:

Our goal is to develop creative and innovative mindsets among the youth through project-based extracurricular workshops, challenges, and tech festivals.

In the course of an eight week internship program, participants train in problem solving and design thinking under the guidance of experts and mentors.

Participants in our workshops and internship programs will receive certificates of completion.
