As part of our consulting services, Berkeley experts may also advise MENA officials on issues pertaining to the design, development, and execution of the plans to overhaul oil-based economies, and leapfrog from extractive to productive, competitive, high-value-added, and innovation-based 21st century economies.

Boot Camps

Our Boot Camps for Entrepreneurship and Innovation thoroughly expose the concept and practice of entrepreneurship and innovation. The curriculum is shaped and delivered by world-class professors from UC Berkeley’s School of Engineering and Haas School of Business and successful entrepreneurs from Silicon Valley.

The courses combine classroom sessions with lectures and interactive activities as well as out-of-class exercises and assignments to provide participants with the skills, culture, and networks they need to establish, operate, sustain, and scale new businesses. Throughout, theoretical and conceptual approaches are supplanted by case studies and visits to Silicon Valley.

Youth Development

The Berkeley-AMENA Youth Development Program’s goal is to empower K-12 students with 21st-century skills.

The program includes a set of extracurricular workshops and internships covering a range of soft and technical skills in a learning by doing environment that develops motivation and creativity and instills a growth mindset.
